Why I never?!
Today and yesterday's pictures are of southern red bishop birds, which were hopping around among the aquatic plants at the Durban botanical garden. I think maybe this one was a bit offended by my spying.

Was out sick yesterday :-/ Something sure is going around! Anyway…

This is Table Mountain, the amazing (if not rather bizarre) geologic structure that watches over Cape Town. The harbor you’re seeing is part of the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, a known tourist trap filled with amazing views, restaurants, shopping centers, eclectic shops, hotels, museums/aquaria etc. It’s over-priced but I enjoy it. There is always live music *somewhere*, whether it be a folk group on the sidewalk or a steel drum band in the amphitheater. And one can’t forget the perpetual collection of regular dancing groups and statue-people/mimes, great if you’re looking for a reason to smile.

A blue jellyfish.
I set out to try and take a picture of an animal I think about everyday. For someone who studies jellies, I've given them little props here on SM, so I thought I'd change that :) Of course I was reminded WHY I haven't mentioned them before- they're incredible difficult to photograph!

A cloudy day :)Didn't have more than a few sec to grab a shot today. Such is life (and work :))

A seagull with waves. Cropped and color saturated a bit.

Sticks :) I'm back from camping and had a great time. Nearly killed myself climbing on crazy/scary cliffs and managed to snap lots of pictures of... sticks! I was really loving the still water and haunting clouds, may have got a bit carried away... :) You'll find a few more stick pics in my May gallery as make-ups.

This pic was sharpened, cropped a bit and converted to b&w. As were other stick pics.

Sorry, I couldn't help it. Last one! I just loved this one because usually a disturbance on the waters surface is something I don't particularly appreciate, esp. when taking pictures of reflection. But all the little patters in this really captured my imagination.
